This heavy-duty recycled nest box was specifically designed for red-breasted and white-breasted nuthatches, but it also offers housing options for many other bird species. Tufted titmice, downy woodpeckers, chickadees, and wrens will all find security for their young in this snug birdhouse.
The nest box features a wide overhanging roof with ventilation in the eaves, providing protection from the elements. It also includes a 1-1/4" predator guard with a copper portal to keep nesting birds safe. Additionally, there is a fledgling ladder inside the swing-open front panel, allowing young birds to safely exit the nest.
Two screws are provided for attaching the nest box to a post or tree. Like all of our recycled products, this nest box is made in the USA using HDPE plastic lumber sourced from recycled milk jugs. It is produced right here in the Midwest, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship.
